Android 12 Beta 3 adds long screen capture, ,smarter automatic screen rotation and a few other small changes. The major features have not changed much and it is expected that one more beta will come to the official version because from Beta 2 and earlier, in the Android version section on my Pixel it only says Android S, now changed into Android 12.
With this feature, when you browse the web or view long content that needs to be scrolled, you can take screenshots of all content. When taking a photo, the thumbnail of the image will have an Capture more button, clicking it will be able to select the range of content to capture.
Faster, smarter auto-rotate screen (applies to Pixel 4 and above)
With devices from Pixel 4 and above, the auto-rotate feature has been upgraded with face detection, using the front camera to more accurately detect when it is necessary to rotate the screen using the Enable Face Decection in the Auto-rotate screen settings.
Other Android 12 devices will still receive screen rotation improvements as well as additional Machine Learning algorithms that will reduce autorotate latency by 25%.
More powerful On-device search
On Android 12 Beta 3, Google puts more emphasis on Android’s new AppSearch API. Google says AppSearch is a high-performance device search engine, and the new API also supports native features such as highly efficient indexing and retrieval, multilingual support, and search-level ranking. suitable.
If an app participates in a central system-wide index in Android 12, then Android will be able to expose that app data to the SystemUI surface and devs can opt out as well. In addition, apps can also securely share data with other apps to allow them to search for app data within their apps.
Wallpaper area refreshed
Wallpaper & style settings have been refreshed with a more intuitive interface. Users can now choose to have the system theme automatically pick up colors according to the color of the wallpaper (Wallpaper colors) or users can choose the basic colors themselves.
There is also a Themed icons option that will change the system app icons on the Home screen to become monochromatic icons that can change according to the wallpaper color as well as the base color the user chooses. I found it only changed the icon on the Home screen, but in the App Drawer it did not change.
Option to remove transitions Remove animations
I found that in Settings > Accessibility > Text and display, there will be a new option called Remove animations, activating it will turn off all transition effects.
One-handed mode: there’s a new option
In the One-handed mode settings, there is a new option called Show notifications. Instead of swiping down the navigation bar to open the one-handed interface, it will open Notification Shade and Quick Settings.
App Shortcut on Home screen with Widgets option
When long-pressing on the app icon outside the home screen, the App Shortcut interface will have an Widgets section to immediately access the widget of that application.
